The Canadian goverment freqently uses the military or charter planes or other resources to evacuate Canadians is dangerous situations arouns the world, whether it is war or natural disaster. So its not a stretch to expect the Canadian govt to evacuate Canadian citizens from Gaza.

What does the poppy have to do with calling for a ceasefire to spare thousands of lives?

What are you talking about? How is reporting on a protest in Toronto a sign of supporting Hamas?

@brando19872 Canada sends $$millions worth of "chartitable donations" and military hardware [edited] to Israel every year. Canada also supports Israel diplomatically by voting against or abstaining from UN resolutions that condemn Israel. Canada also attempts to auppress the BDS movement here which puts economic pressure on Israel. So there is reason to put political preasure on PM Trudeau nad other Canadian politicians.

georgeorwellsghost3833 I know it is hard to resist propaganda when we are so inundated by it, but the world wars were not about "freedom" they were about power and control of resources. The Canadian state had no problem with fascism in Europe until Hermany invaded poland and upset the balance of power. Also, do you think Germany was going to invade Canada?

@jeremypaluck4246 "never again" what? Never again stand by while a state military with the complicit support of US, Canada, and EU indiscriminately bombs civilian hospitals and refugee camps?

@letfreedomreignhonk324 This protest has nothing to do with Remembrance Day.

@yl9154 I have revised my previous comments. FWIW Canada does export weapons and military hardware to Israel, valued at $19 million in 2020, $26m in 2021, and $21.3m in 2022.

@TG-cs1rm I am familiar with Rememberance Day, thank you. I just find that too much of the "rememberance" is wrapping the conflict in the ahistoircal gauze of "fighting for freedom" and democracy and human rights, all to justify the tens of thousands of dead Canadians.
