Just make King St car-free already! Why should a streetcar with 130 passengers be held up by one bozo trying to turn left?

@Hudsonrulez When the city studied the economic effects of the Bloor bike lanes researchers found that people were spending MORE at local businesses than prior to the bike lanes. It is easier for pedestrians and cyclists to make quick stops or window shop than it is for drivers, who are more likely to drive somewhere, park, and just go to their destination, then leave.

Sounds wonderful, but why would we not have subways and buses?

@brendanbruce6135 Suburbanites are welcome in the city (for business, pleasure, education whatever) it is just their cars that should stay at home.

@Funk1880 You may be shocked to learn that tens of thousands of people travel by GO train, bus and subway from Mississauga and Woodbridge everyday. The subway was extended to Vaughan to make it easier for people to do that, there is a new BRT lane along HWY 7, and Metrolinx is currently building the Hazel McCallion LRT in 'Sauga/Brampton.
