  1. Yes but the psychotic behavior now against pain meds for actual medical reasons??!! That's what terrifies me! I'm reading that people actively dying in pain aren't getting pain meds??!!! What is wrong with this country!

  2. I'm a chronic pain patient who has had spinal surgery with issues. I was very very active all my life until mid 30s. I learned to have to let go of the idea I will be able to ski, jump off cliffs etc and live.the best I can with the help of pain meds (thank God). I think having end stage terminal illness would be similar, I would ask myself if I will get better or stay how I am? Then make a decision. I do know I would rather die than burden my children or send them into financial ruin. I am not at all religious but do believe in spirit and the Universe being more than we understand (agnostic).

  3. I understand completely. My father was my best friend, he died when I was 9 and I've never really recovered. But a lot had to do with our dysfunctional family after his death.
