  1. My mother is a food pusher too. But elderly people who grew up during the aftermath of the depression by parents that went through it and went hungry don't ever want their loved ones to experience that including their beloved furry kids too. Thank you for giving this sweet man a loving home. I wish more people saw how wonderful it is to adopt adult cats and dogs from the shelter or rescues! They're amazing!

  2. As absolutely heart crushing as it is some of us don't have the money! I ended up a single parent and was a vet tech so I learned to stitch up my kids too because bringing them to the doctor was too expensive! I'm so grateful for people like him who can help. Btw I've got 12 cats I'm catching and fixing it's a labor of love.

  4. I've read about 3 pet pigswho have saved the lives of their owners. 1 was having an asthma attack 1 was having a heart attack and there was a fire for the 3rd 1. The pigs got help and woke up their people. They're beautiful beings!

  6. I live in a small mostly conservative town and after I bought my house I found that there was a huge colony of feral cats living in my crawlspace and two car garage. This house was over 100 years old and I think a lot of the heat from the house leaked into the crawl space. I started feeding them, catching them fixing them and finding homes which was difficult so I ended up with 30. I did this starting in the late 90s all by myself while raising 3 kids and making just over minimum wage. There was an animal shelter but they didn't help AT ALL, luckily there was a wealthy woman who set up a spay/neuter account at some vets which did lower the cost but I still had to buy food etc. I'm still taking these babies in since everyone in the neighborhood knows what I do. I once had a knock at the door and it was an older gentleman with this to say, "I've got 2 cats for you, one is from Russia and one is from Paris" turns out his daughter and son I law were in the military and had been stationed in those places where they rescued these kitties but they were deployed to Iraq and couldn't bring them, they knew of me and said to bring them. Anyway rescuing animals is hard work but SO worth it. Just please get your animals fixed and get your animals from shelters!

  11. I feed raccoons and skunks! They know they can come in and eat the cat and dog food I have for them and water dishes outside. I do keep a small shallow dish of water inside but they make such a mess most stays outside! I've walked in on my cats, reckons and skunks all eating together. Never been sprayed or even hissed or growled at. Thanks for spreading awareness!

  19. If you really want to help Animals do not buy meat dairy or eggs from factory farms! Better yet either stop consuming animal products or cut down and only buy from ones you've researched for "humane" living and dying conditions. I know it's an adjustment but the fake meat products today are truly amazing and you'll feel a lot better physically, mentally and spiritually.

  21. Exactly what happened when I started feeding the feral and stray cats in the neighborhood. I did it to catch them and fix them which I started 30 years ago and have gotten the population down 75%. People know in the neighborhood though and I get a few dumped kitties unfortunately. This is so cool!

I worked at veterinarians and a women was arrested abusing wolf hybrids while trying to raise them for their puppies so they were at our clinic for 7 months, yes I adopted them The male was so funny looking, he was a yellow lab/gray wolf mix so he had the physique of a huge wolf but the yellow color of a lab, his ears went half way up straight then the tips bent over. We called him a Werelab, they've both since passed and I miss them very much.

We have had geese come to our beautiful lake for probably centuries but now a chain hotel wants to build so our fucked up city is allowing people to hunt these geese at a place they have been safe at forever! I'm told only one person has shown up for it but I'm so disappointed and disgusted in my town now. Thank you for making such a wonderful difference.

  39. People that question animals having emotions are people that don't understand their own emotions. They can see emotion in other humans because they're human and it's a mimicking effect but in animals they can't see it because they can't see or understand the emotional response if it's not a human. We only deny emotions in animals because we eat them and it's harder (or impossible) to do that if we recognize and admit they do feel pain and joy physically and emotionally. The propaganda of the meat/dairy industries in which they've spent trillions is proof of that.

  40.  @nkhart5520  only neutering cats, dogs are a different kettle of fish ;) and absolutely no spay, that's a lot more involved. But if you look up cat neuters you can see what I'm talking about. The 6 vets I worked with did not fully anesthetize male cats to get neutered, they got a mix of intramuscular drugs that made them loopy. The neutering itself takes 2-4 minutes.

  48. I rescued a tiny tiny Chihuahua and he lived 20 years. I had to pull all of his teeth when I got him because he had a little old lady before me who fed him lots of sweets but after he ate almost as much as my Wolf mixes. I'm a Vet tech and got my animals usually from work.

  49. I'm a vet tech and 80% of all bulldogs are artificially inseminated and birthed by cesarean section. And as you heard here they've got many health problems. Many puppies are euthanized because they're born without hip sockets. Please don't purchase these dogs we have bred them for destruction and pain.
