I think their advice is to study the precedents from successful previous bankruptcy proceedings, but other than that yeah not too helpful. Even if they loosened up and at least looked at them case by case. I'm old enough to remember when college was free or affordable, now just a few years in JUNIOR college and you've got over $20,000 in debt! And there's almost no advisors to even guide you to see if it'll be feasible to pay them off when you're done, and yes some people need that. I'm happy for all of you out there who were successful and COULD pay off your debt but not everything in life is equal and some people get delt personal blows that can unavoidably affect your circumstances. Have some fricken compassion people!
