  2. So lucky he never got wet, we had a dog come in and once we started shaving him he had tons of maggots under his matted fur. (I'm a vet tech, we always get the fun jobs). The dog I worked on was fine, he had to heal for a couple weeks but had a good home to go to!

  7. Love skunks! I've got some that sneak in my cat door at night and eat the food. I've come down stairs and walked right in on them, they stomp and half turn a lot and never spray. I just back out and they go out the door

  9. Ask this man whether or not he thinks animals have feelings and a soul, listen to the answer and think of all the suffering we as humans are directly responsible for then do something. Write the President, Congress, go to your local animal shelter and walk dogs, play with kitties. Find an animal advocate society and volunteer. Do something positive for our fellow earthlings

  12. You can't always blame owners. Some are old people who are.disabled with no help. Their Animal is their only friend and if the animal is taken they will be euthanized. Yes some are at fault but not all.

  23. I rescue animals by myself on a low income, so if I can do it anyone can. Also people need to call law enforcement if they witness abuse and record it if possible. Thank you to everyone who is kind to all creatures on this Earth, home to us all. Also GET YOUR ANIMALS SPAYED AND NEUTERED!!!!!!!!

  24. I've got a wobbly cat, she's so sweet and funny. Mine was normal but got a really bad infection as a kitten and almost died but pulled through and was wobbly.

  43. I rescued a cat from Pizza Hut. It was in the bark outside by the building and it had a broken leg. She was a calico, we got her all fixed up and named her Pepperoni! Rescue everyone!!

I am a vet technician and they cannot reproduce on their own Many many are born with missing hips and are put to sleep immediately (or just drown) upon birth it is a cruel thing. I've seen the devastating effects of their lack of genetic diversity.

  54. I'm a veterinary tech we had a little basset hound puppy whose jaw was crushed by another dog Came in at 1:00 AM and worked on that dog till 5:00 AM with the vet, she did okay

  60. That's awesome! My 87 year old mother has always had many dogs and cats but now she only allows herself 2 cats, one is a senior at 15 and the other is a rescue at 6 she's terrified about what will happen to them even though I've told her I'll take them. This women is a true hero!!!

  65. Sounds like infectious canine hepatitis which possibly could have been less severe if he was breast fed and inoculated. Unfortunately without the protection of Mama's breast milk and being too young for vaccinations he was just too susceptible. But animals have not only a better understanding with life and death but seem to also be acutely are where aware of the power of positive thinking.

  66. People need to know domesticated animals cannot survive in the wild! Even cats. You can't just "let them loose" and expect anything but death, usually by starvation or thirst. So anyone thinking of dumping an animal please look for rescues or other nice people or even try a little harder to make it work!

  67. Another women would dress their pitty baby in silly t-shirts and that seems to help. As a Vet tech who worked with many breeds the only ones I was weary about were any breeds that were recently abused but once they landed in a loving home they were fine. Most humans have so completely low touch with their intuition they're lost in determining other beings intentions. We love you Pirate!!!!
