  1. Her dad very well could've been a big jerk who absolutely did ridicule her but murdering him is not ok!? So many of these kids, especially girls who murder a parent do it because of a relationship, as a parent I can safely say the best way to rid your family of an unwanted boyfriend or girlfriend is to become their biggest admirer! Say how awesome they are, invite them over for dinner a lot and make your kid tell you all about them, while gushing. Trust me the relationship will be gone faster than French fries! I feel bad for Russell actually. There's no way he's faking and he allowed himself to be duped and dragged into a really bad situation. I really hope he gets some help and can become a better person but if he commits violent crimes then he needs to be behind bars. Thanks to all the other commenters, I appreciate reading everyone's thoughts about the case and people involved and throwing mine out there too. It helps to try and figure out why people do the things they do there's a lot of really insightful and intelligent people on here.
