  1. My best friend watched her step dad beat her mom all the time with belts fists etc. She was finally sent to her bio dad when he beat the mom with a hammer and almost murdered her. My friend had to sleep with her radio on and still wet the bed occasionally in high school. But being a GenX getting trauma counseling was nonexistent, especially for kids.

  4. Either he's a combat veteran or he's made that way. Some people are just like that, it's where that phrase "calm under fire" comes from. There's a weird test that you can't control, fire a gun and see if you blink, some don't (I'm one) and it's bizarre. I've only fired a gun a few dozen times.
