  3. I don't care how close a person is if they start asking for money, red flags! I'm not talking about helping out friends or family if their car breaks down or help paying a bill like a one time deal of a couple hundred or thousand dollars but if it is more than once and exceeds a normal amount. Another thing is to say no and see what happens, you can tell a lot from the response. I really hate these scammers, they are scum.
