Welcome to the American medical and prison systems! In order to save money or if the parents don't have ins or too little insurance doctors/hospitals will do as little as possible, unless there's a life threatening emergency or parents calmly push push push. As a side note my oldest daughter had extreme abdominal pain so I took her to the ER, they took blood, they (nurse) checked heartbeat, respiratory, etc and did a gynecological exam. The nurse comes in and says "well we're gonna send you home"!! By this time she was writhing in pain, so I said "what about her appendix"? The nurse says "well why didn't you mention that before"??!!!! They rushed and took it out and it burst in the docs hands! And our "justice" system! Ha!! You are guilty until proven innocent. Now I don't know what happened here, but don't rush to judge.
