  1. Nope they don't like to be pet! We used to swim out to a huge rock in San Diego where the fur seals would sun themselves and when dry they're all fuzzy so we'd try and pet them (we were 10) and they'd bark at us. That was in the 1970s! Sweet baby, I hope she's fat and happy now!

  2. People are idiots! Homeless people are used to defending their homes with their lives and if you welcome them into your community you will be much safer. With most of these folks just showing them a little dignity and respect and you'll have their loyalty. No neighborhood is 100% safe but with a scrappy street smart neighbor looking out for you, safety has increased. I'd like to know how much money is being spent cleaning up the existing I'd like to know how much money is being spent us cleaning up the existing sites and instead they could create a site for them and most of these people will police themselves? Instead they could create a site for them, these folks will police themselves. In fact I bet if you got some land and gave them the tools and the materials they would build their own shelters, Planning and zoning obviously doesn't care about how their structures are built on the street, why should they care otherwise.
