That happened where I live, there was a group funded by an old rich alcoholic and when a Mexican American mother and her son's car broke down near their compound they came out and beat the crap out if them, so the mom sued and won. The compound had to be sold along with everything else to pay them. It was awesome because they never recovered and disbanded.

  3. Has Vice covered the war on chronic pain patients since the 2016 CDC guidelines? Talk about how all pain patients including cancer and sickle cell anemia patients being denied medicine they've been taking safely for years! Since then overdoses have skyrocketed proving that prescribed meds do not contribute to drug use to a large extent.

  4. Equal to public or private schools. Schools get a certain amount of money for every single child, that's why most schools have a strict policy regarding absences. If a child is absent the school doesn't get the money. The same is true for public and private prisons, they need prisoners to get paid, it is SICKENING!!! We need to change this IMMEDIATELY!

  6. I have spent a lot of time living in Mexico since I was a baby. I love the Mexican people. In the late 1960s early 70s we were camping in Mexico and our car broke down, I was 5. A Mexican family took us in and all the men worked on the car for 4 days while they fed us and helped us totally. I spent the days running around the village playing with my new friends. At the end they wouldn't take any money and the grandmother gave our grandmother a beautiful abalone shell. I've met MANY more white American violent bad people than Mexican. Also as a teenager we would go to Tijuana and party, once I got too drunk and my "friends" abandoned me and I got lost in an industrial park when these two twenty year old guys helped me get back to the border safely. I'm a white women and I'm very afraid of these violent white racist Americans, much more than the migrants.

  7. I am literally sick to my stomach. We have become a nation of utter selfishness and greed with no regard for others. I find this ironic since all of the most greedy selfish people say they're Christian! No wonder our country has the most homeless and people in prison. Thank you Vice and this reporter was amazing. I pray for the people in this situation.

  9. I have a homeless guy living in my garage, he uses my electricity and has propane. I take him places he can't go on his bike and have helped him get his identification and now drivers license. He does drink but not every day and not before 3pm when he does and he is a happy drunk. So yes I am appalled and I am doing something.

Whether their is a god or not no human can say what's in God's mind and by claiming that you will be judged for your arrogance. Being a good person does not require a overseeing omnipotent being looking over our shoulder all the time and if you need an outside source to keep you from being a bad person then you should look to yourself first before you go judging others!

  17. One of the reasons I stopped eating beef, the cattle farmers have WAY to much power over the health of our planet. They don't care if what they've doing helps end life on our planet by completely disrupting the balanced ecosystems we need to survive. If you can, stop eating meat, if you can't stop totally then try eating less.

  24. Not true, you need to loom at what is irresponsible. If they got their fix legally without shame or punishment things would change. You HAVE to live in the criminal world if you're doing crimes (drugs) on a daily basis. I've known respected normal everyday working people that you'd never believe had a habit. We only see the desperate raving junkies not the functional.

This is exactly what happened under Reagan and Bush Sr., In order to create the need for more prisons, and police we need more crime, so let's create it by taking people in abject poverty and then taking away any positive influences and get them in a system that like that guy said is almost impossible to get out of without help. All of which costs a hell of a lot more to us taxpayers in the long run, not to mention the danger that could've been diverted!
