  1. There's all the hype over opiates but if used correctly and not abused they are probably the most safe drug next to marijuana. I know there's been 'evidence' to the contrary but I have personally known 70 year olds who were heroin users for 50 years, and I've known opium smokers that were some of the healthiest people I've ever met. I truly believe that moderation is key.
