  1.  @TDMFAN  - when I 1st moved to the US in the 80s, I was baffled how a team could have the word "redskins" in its name, coupled with a cartoon mascot of an indigenous tribe. What's even more baffling, is the number of decades more that persisted, & the intense opposition to rectifying the situation.

This is basically a Convention of Crazy Persons -- or CCP (see what I just did there?😉) But seriously, this is unfortunately the ironic legacy of the internet: the innovation that is undoubtedly the most significant contribution to human knowledge since the printing press -- is simultaneously proving to be a gateway to dissemination of misinformation & disinformation. We've always had nutters in society, but they were isolated & limited to standing on a soapbox & shouting their message in a street corner or public park. Now they are able to network across the entire country & world, & amalgamate & amplify their lunacy.
