It's no surprise to me after the way he handled the "negotiations" with the Taliban. He caved to the taliban demands, abruptly cut American involvement, & left the US-backed Afghan government to twist in the wind.

I'm an American residing overseas. I've canceled my visit to the US. Will spend that money in Europe & Turkey instead.

@noneyaratman714 I stand corrected, the Afghan government fell later. But nonetheless, it was a result of caving in to the taliban & withdrawing coalition forces. And Biden delayed the withdrawal because the original withdrawal date set by trump was not feasible. Regardless of the minute details, the point remains that trump left an ally to twist in the wind. And he's intending to repeat that action with Ukraine. Any country leader that trusts the word of the US in the future will need to have their head examined.

@noneyaratman714 when what happened? Are you not aware that trump signed the Doha Agreement & set an arbitrary deadline for withdrawal, continued troop withdrawals right up until inauguration day, and the Afghan government fell on his watch?

@noneyaratman714 the US defines one as an ally when it's convenient for them. When it chooses to, it moves the goalposts.

@yaldabaoth2 the world can't depend on a yo-yo ally.

@AndriyValdensius-wi8gw first the world had to deal with the Bush insanity. Then there were 2 terms of normalcy, followed by the insanity of trump 1.0 Then back to normalcy with Biden. Now we get another dumpster fire regime that's even worse than it's first iteration. So if the rest of the world has any sense, they ought to assume that America is no longer a dependable ally.
