We didn't need to be occupying the country to get bin Laden. The mission was over in March 2002 after the aerial bombing campaign destroyed the Taliban regime. We should never have put boots on the ground. The aerial campaign was so successful that the defeated Taliban were calling us cowards & clamoring for us to fight them face to face -- which we stupidly did. And now here we are 20 years later.

@Defenestrate we didn't "leave trillions in equipment". The troop withdrawal started last year. The final troop withdrawal under Trump happened on Jan 15, 2021 & that left 2500 troops remaining from the 20,000. During that duration, don't you think equipment was evacuated as the troops were withdrawn? And shouldn't civilians have likewise been evacuated?

@Defenestrate you can't read can you? We have been in withdrawal mode for over a year. Why would we have all that hi-tech equipment over there when only 2,500 troops remained? Doesn't the military remove equipment as the troops are withdrawn?

@Defenestrate if the equipment was left behind while the troops were drawn down under Trump's watch, that makes it his responsibility. But a trillion dollars of equipment? The Pentagon budget for an entire year is only 750 billion. LMFAO 😂

@Defenestrate you read it where? National Enquirer? So if we accumulated it over the years, which is true, why was it not removed all of last year while the drawdown was happening? After all, it takes time to ship it all out.
