True. But there were only 2500 troops left when Biden took office. But regardless, the Pentagon & State Dept have fcuked up royally. Heads need to roll. Gen Milley & SecDef for a start.

The "greatest deal maker" negotiated a sh1t sandwich: "The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and set a date certain of May 1, 2021, for the final withdrawal. And the Trump administration kept to the pact, reducing U.S. troop levels from about 13,000 to 2,500, even though the Taliban continued to attack Afghan government forces and welcomed al-Qaeda terrorists into the Taliban leadership."

Even if we accept your premise that we should have pulled out in 2011, why are you not p1ssed off that we didn't withdraw in 2017? Where's the outrage that it took another 4 years & yet another president for this to occur?

I can accept that Biden owns this. Can you accept that there is background to the Taliban’s success that has nothing to do with Biden but everything to do with his predecessor?

@danwright1794 I agree that Biden owns this sh*tshow. But I notice you can't accept that the lead up to this mess was orchestrated by Trump. That's partisanship for you. Maybe you're right & this will blow up & Biden will be toast. After all, the colossal f-up handling of the pandemic resulted in Trump becoming toast. Time will tell.

@donlowther8821 lol yet you were blaming Obama. I'm beginning to think you're a partisan hack. The mission was to remove the regime that was harboring terrorists. That was accomplished in 2002. "Getting Bin Laden" did not require an all out occupation. It could have been accomplished with special forces teams. And as it turns out, he wasn't "got" in Afghanistan after all. Every president from Bush onwards deserves a share of the blame for keeping us there -- but most belongs to Bush.
