That is in the public record. He simply chose to soft pedal it for fear of upsetting his reelection chances. With the intelligence assets of the CIA & NSA it's likely they knew in early December. Impossible for them not to know what was going on when China shut down an entire city.

  18.  @williamgoff530  - the whole "film your hospital" movement is a crock. Where do you think all those bodies in NY are coming from? Or the ones piling up in Italy & Spain? Of course all hospitals are not inundated: 1) in some locations the infection has not hit yet; 2) they've cancelled or postponed surgeries & treatments of other illnesses to free up beds in anticipation of the infection; 3) virus patients aren't being treated in emergency rooms & lobbies -- which where these clowns are filming. They're treated in other parts of the hospital & even in overflow tents. I'm sure some of the media coverage is frantic & sensational. That happens with every crisis. But don't underestimate this disease because of some conspiracy-believing f*ckwits.

  21. You obviously missed the entire premise of "flattening the curve". The objective is to slow the contagion to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. Even though people die in car accidents, don't we try to reduce the numbers by laws & safety innovations? It's the same here. The objective is to minimize preventable deaths.

Just like your "spit & surgeon" analogy, the mask is intended to REDUCE THE DROPLETS from a person's breath or cough from being transmitted over a great distance. That "cloud or mist" from an infected person is somewhat contained by the mask & thus a reduced likelihood of someone in the immediate area getting infected. A year & half into a global pandemic & simple concepts have still not sunk in ... 🤦‍♂️

Now as a CYA measure, his excuse is "we didn't know it could be spread asymptomatically". Something the whole world has known for months. Look at Desantis in FL. Despite calls for him to cancel spring break, he refused & kept the beaches open. Now he finally caved & ordered a stay at home order. How many people are those spring breakers going to infect?
