  1.  @LOFIGSD  - a mask is intended to stop you spreading the virus -- it is not intended to protect you from the virus. The test you want to do is wear one & try blowing out a candle.

  7.  @memowilliam9889 - nice strawman argument. Masks don't stop the virus from passing thru -- and I (& most people advocating wearing of masks) never claimed they did. Just like your "spit & surgeon" analogy, the mask is intended to REDUCE THE DROPLETS from a person's breath or cough from being transmitted over a great distance. That "cloud or mist" from an infected person is somewhat contained by the mask & thus a reduced likelihood of someone in the immediate area getting infected. A year & half into a global pandemic & simple concepts have still not sunk in ... 🤦‍♂️
