@gaganbajaj3874 - there is no testing in most of India. I've been here for over a month. And until last week, I've seen zero measures, zero awareness of this pandemic.

@dontjudgemebymyname.4282 - dude, "mid March" was a week ago. And what is "wrong India"? Shouldn't they have a uniform response throughout the country?

@simbleindian615 - I'm not sure what you said you disagree about. Testing & awareness are appalling in India. Even worse are the generally poor hygiene & sanitation conditions. The average person here is not taking it seriously. The local government is simply making token gestures. They closed the schools & 4 days later allowed a religious parade in the city attended by thousands. If the virus is not impeded by hot weather, India could be in big trouble.

@gaganbajaj3874 - true. I understand you can't test everyone, but even people who have symptoms are not being tested. That is a recipe for disaster.

Unfortunately that trial curfew caused my exit flight to be cancelled. If the sh1t hits the fan, I'm not sure when I'll get out.

McDonalds Farmer - Judgmental much? I travelled way before this contagion spread. I'm not clairvoyant, nor am I an epidemiologist. If governments have been caught flat footed, it's a stretch to expect the average person to have foreseen the severity & speed of the contagion. And as far as traveling now, all passengers on planes are not tested. And given I've been in self-imposed isolation for the past 10 days, I'm at more risk of catching it rather than spreading it on a flight.

McDonalds Farmer - I didn't just get here -- I got here a month & a half ago. And everything here seemed normal until 10 days ago. And no, the health are facilities are not adequate or sufficient here. Hospitals & ICU beds will be overwhelmed in a few days.
