@editfazekas3854 I said nothing about present day British "paying for the sins of their fathers". What I am saying, is this conflict in the Middle East didn't arise out of thin air. The root cause is the partition & the lack of follow through after the partition. That was directly the fault of the colonial power & the League of Nations & United Nations. The west continually gave Israel security guarantees but never did the same for the other party. Partitioning the territory was was a bad idea to begin with. But if both sides were policed by the international community & forced to stay within their borders, none of this would have happened.

@unknownn520 by your logic, the Native Americans can claim & repossess the US? Ancient history has little relevance. The people living on the land were dispossessed at the time of partition. You expect them not to fight back? The powers that divided the land should have made sure, with force, that both sides abided by the territory they were assigned. It would still have been unfair, but at least the Palestinians would have had a state.
