Tbh, I think nothing really changed for McCarthy. IMO, his stance & statements prior to winning the Speakership were simply politics -- to pander to the fringes of his party. Also notice his wording: "no blank check" -- all that really means is "accountability", NOT "no more funding".

@CMY187 their argument for reinstatement of colonialism is hilarious. By their warped logic, most countries "aren't real" because they never existed prior to being colonized.

@JakeBroe to be fair Jake, the Pentagon has a poor history of oversight. The waste & corruption in the Iraq & Afghanistan conflicts is testament to that.

@Lorenz1973 were there no "controls & checks" in the Afghanistan & Iraq wars? As opposition leader, it is his duty to make sure that his party keeps a tight leash on how the money is spent. He never said that they would not fund Ukraine.

I've stopped watching "Speak the Truth" since September. His content in the 1st months of the war was excellent but it slowly morphed into segments of old news cobbled together for sponsorship & monetization.
