  5. A full scale attack on Russia will open up the door to ruzzia using a nuke on Ukraine. That approach would have been logical if ruzzia did not have nukes.

  9. Attacking the "motherland" will be counterproductive. The mindset of being invaded will trigger their patriotism, put their production on full war-time mode, & lead to full mobilization.
