  6. The extremists on the Right have always been fascists. Now that they've hijacked the GOP, they intend to take power at any cost. They align perfectly with the fascism of present-day Russia. Institutions that we hold dear as bastions of democracy are to them inconvenient barriers to their objectives. Hence they have attempted to destroy or sow doubts about the courts, DOJ, FBI, journalism, elections, etc.
