The funding is allocated by the Treasury to the DOD which decides which equipment from its inventory will be sent & the cost is offset against the funding grant. If it is not in inventory, a DOD requisition is issued to the supplier & paid for by DOD. The US already has close to a trillion dollar Pentagon budget so your convoluted "money laundering" scheme is not necessary, nor is it reality. Yes, defense contractors are contributing to politicians' campaigns -- but so are every other special interests group, including the NRA & Elon Musk. I don't know where you got those claims from, but it is nothing but misinformation. However, if you have a legitimate source for it, I'd be interested in seeing it.

  13. @benbailey1174  First, you start off with a false assumption. I know exactly how it works. It is your vague post that I'm questioning. Second, you pretty much regurgitated exactly what I posted about how Ukraine is funded -- which is different from your original post. Third, you have in no way explained how this is "money laundering". Contractors getting contracts & funding politicians' campaigns is not money laundering. It's how every industry gets favorable representation from politicians. Money laundering involves money from illicit sources that is passed thru legit enitities. You would benefit from looking up the definition of money laundering. Fourth, the US Treasury issues Treasury securites (bill, bonds, & notes) which is sold to investors & other countries in order to raise money for government spending as an additional method to taxation. Fifth, the funds approved for military aid are not handed over to Ukraine -- they are allocated to the DoD which offsets funding against equipment & materiel from inventory -- or used to purchase anything not in inventory. So once again you're repeating misinformation. Take your own advice on "reading just a little each day".

  15. I'm sure your research involved reading Kremlin propaganda talking points. Russia started this war in 2014 by annexing Crimea. They then funded, armed, & instigated a rebellion in Eastern Ukraine. That boiled over into a full civil war -- with Russian troops covertly fighting an undeclared war for years. When it became a stalemate, they launched a full-scale invasion.
