  7. I'm not surprised in the least. I was exposed to the "shortcuts"/ Chinese scams in the late 90s in the semiconductor industry. China was the scourge in the industry, infiltrating the market with counterfeit electronic components that go inside computer & electronic equipment. They would buy old equipment from the west strip out the chips, sand off the markings, & mark different part numbers on them. So if you fell for it, you got a pile of worthless junk.
