  1. As a manager of a small business, I've hired people with non-violent records, thinking that they deserved a 2nd chance. I've been f*cked over by them. Every. Single. Time. The lying, the drug abuse, the lack of personal responsibility, the lack of morals, the poor work ethic, the sense of entitlement -- absolutely out of control. That is what got them into trouble in the 1st place. And they don't want to give it up. So I'm done with taking those chances. And that's why other businesses do the same.
