@l.t7481 - How does infant mortality affect birth rates? -- K Raivio. Duodecim. 1990. PUBMED . GOV "The demographic transition theory postulates that the reduction of the mortality of children under five years of age is followed by the reduction of fertility with delay. .... The question arises whether fertility reduction could be influenced by family planning. Bangladesh data have demonstrated that if not a single child died in a family then the average total fertility rate (TFR) was 2.6 children; when 1 child died the number was 4.7 children; 2 child deaths meant 6.2 children; and more than 3 child deaths boosted the TFR to 8.3 children. The replacement level fertility is 2.1 children, which in Finland has already dropped below this level to 1.7 children, similar to other Scandinavian countries. UN calculations show that in the developing countries 5% of budget expenditures is devoted to health care and 1.5% to family planning. If $5 billion would be expended instead of the present $3 billion, the lives of 5 million children and 300,000 mothers could be saved, which would result in the drop of fertility by 27-35%."

@MrSnicker14 - hunter biden scandal is no different from the ivanka trump scandal. Get your head out of your rear end.

@l.t7481 - you cite "Newspunch" as a source? Seriously??? That's as biased & manipulative as it gets. Have you read the UN paper? It talks about sustainable development. Nowhere does it mention "depopulation". Care to define the term "depopulation"? What do you propose that Japan should do about it's aging population?
1
@l.t7481 - because you have obviously not read the UN report. The immigration that the report suggests is to address the population imbalance in countries like Japan -- where the aged are in larger numbers than the young. Now try the other questions I posed.
1
@l.t7481 - your response is typical of the brainwashed consumers of fake news. You "don't believe" their report -- so you fabricate a narrative to align with your warped view. The goal to eradicate hunger is precisely that -- a goal. Where do you come up with "buying up all the farmland"? Where do you get "replace their indigenous populations with Muslim refugees"? It's certainly not in the UN report. What is your definition of "depopulation"? And no, you have not offered a definition. Of course you won't answer any of my questions -- because by doing so you'd prove you're woefully uninformed - or worse, an ignorant bigot.

@l.t7481 - yes, Newspunch is right wing propaganda. Immigrants have been "flooding" the US & Europe for the past 100 years. And that will continue as long as economic imbalances & geopolitical strife (often caused by western countries) occur. What caused the Irish refugees in the US in the 19th century? A potato famine. What caused the Syrian, Afghan, Iraqi, Kurdish, Libyan refugees that flooded Europe. Surely it couldn't be the western powers' political destabilization & invasions, could it?

@l.t7481 - oh, you're back. Happy to answer your questions. Immediately after you answer those I asked previously. Give it a go ...
1
@l.t7481 - your examples of "depopulation" are loon fantasy. None of that is reality. If it was even close to reality, anyone involved would be brought up on crimes against humanity charges. Can you cite a single case of the UN being charged with such crimes? You can't tell the difference between "depopulation" & "birth rate & population control"?

@l.t7481 Kenya Catholic Church tetanus vaccine fears 'unfounded' BBC 13 October 2014 Kenya's government has dismissed allegations made by the country's Catholic Church that a tetanus vaccine can cause sterility in women. "It's a safe certified vaccine," Health Minister James Macharia told the BBC. Catholic priests have been telling their congregations to boycott a campaign that begins on Monday to vaccinate women against tetanus. Tetanus is regarded as a big threat to babies in Kenya, with a new-born child dying every day of the infection. According to Kenya's health ministry, about 550 babies died of tetanus in Kenya last year. 🥱

@l.t7481 sustainable /səˈsteɪnəb(ə)l/ adjective •able to be maintained at a certain rate or level. •"sustainable economic growth" able to be upheld or defended. What is sustainable forestry? It means you don't cut down the entire damn forest at 1 shot & you replace trees as you harvest them. What is sustainable agriculture? You don't destroy the soil with monoculture & chemicals. It's not that complicated. Nor nefarious like you're making it out to be. Besides, the UN can only offer guidelines & suggestions. It's up to individual countries to follow through.

@Fakir497 - Trump: under my watch, China took more American jobs, & kicked my a$$ in my ineffectual trade war, & in return, gave me loans, gave my daughter patents, rented out my office space for $5.4 million, & bought my overpriced condos {wink, wink}, & gave us a "flu"...
