I'm getting sick of the term "progressive". There was a time I was sympathetic to it, but its proponents are getting to be as annoying as trumptards.

@Therealdrewdober - Trump "told everyone to quarantine"? In which alternate universe was that? Florida & Georgia didn't start a lockdown until this past week. There has been no leadership from Trump. @Nsuage - no, you're rephrasing it to suit your narrative. I'm simply sick of juvenile babies constantly whining when they can't get their way. Bernie had 2 shots. Both failed. I was planning on voting for him in Nov. Given where we are currently, I'm being pragmatic & ready to move on. Meanwhile "progressives" are still fighting the last war. All they will succeed in doing is aiding Trump.

@Nsuage - this was the largest & most diverse range of candidates to ever run for a presidential election. So don't give me that nonsense of "running candidates with no substance". If anything, the purity tests are what led to the current nominee. Warren was a good candidate, but noooo - not progressive enough. Buttigieg showed promise, but noooo -- too corporate. And on & on. List the federal progressive policies that you believe are needed for rural Louisiana. I'm interested in seeing what those are.

@Nsuage - oh, the media was unfair ... boo-hoo-hoo. Warren lied often? Are you kidding me? Have you heard a politician open their mouth & not lie? This is exactly what I'm talking about -- purity tests. If Warren & Buttigieg were not good enough from a field of God-knows how many, what about the other candidates? None of them good enough? So what do you want if the field has no one good but Bernie, yet the general population doesn't vote for him?

@Nsuage - many of the policies you listed are actually going to get a lot worse under Trump. He's destroying environmental regulations & grinding out the life of the EPA.
