That means the likelihood of knowing or meeting such a person is 1 out of 2000. Do you have a circle of friends of 2,000? Get back to me when you comprehend that.

@missinsanelogic - FFS, alcoholism is not contagious, Einstein. Yes it is a problem. Yes you know one -- there are "15 million people who struggle with alcohol disorder in the US". So it's not surprising you know one. But you can't compare a contagious disease with alcohol or drug use. Apples & oranges.
