2 decades from now they'll be in the same position or worse. The brain-drain has removed the possibility of progress. And their poor education system, plus their stupid ideology of eliminating half the workforce -- women -- will mean they have no chance of development beyond an agrarian society. Any development of natural resources will be plundered by the Chinese, Russians, & the ruling elite.

@AnnedolfFrankler911 yeah, that's hilariously delusional. Especially the bit about China & Russia paying for resources. If you believe that, I have a slightly used bridge to sell you at an unbelievable price. Russia has literally been stealing gold from Sudan. China has been stealing copper ore from Zambia. How, you ask? They simply pay off the local administrators & ship it out. In the case of Russia, they've deployed the Neo-Nazi Wagner Group to do their dirty work.
