Well there’s many people in the comments who beg to differ and have had experiences quite like the berserkers… I think the doc missed out that they probably mixed the drugs with other things they where drinking alcohol everyday so that and shrooms and probably other things and they thought that was some form of godly power they would rage

Yeah in a sense you’re right but I think it’s the closest equivalent to match to today for people to understand that they wanted to bring terror and use that to their advantage slaughtering etc so in a sense it was a form of terrorising? Maybe not the modern terrorism

Well to be fair the Christian’s where the more peaceful people of the day back then… The priests wasn’t going fighting they told the followers to do this to protect the land and keep the faith, for all they know that’s what they where doing and it worked, more and more people realised it was a better peaceful and stronger way of life Then another religion started growing that is based in terrorism and death made by a man who lead armies into battle and told the people dying for their god is the highest form of worship…so Christianity was and has always been the lesser evil

Try drinking on them and taking a hand full of other psychoactive plants…you’ll be just like a berserker oh and believe it’s a god in you then you’ll know what they felt and not just sleepy😂

Everyone in the comments: “I’m a mushroom expert! I take them all the time and I know!” 🙄okay mate you’ve had mushrooms you are an expert clearly… Try drinking with them as they did and taking other psychoactive plants and see how alike you are to a berserker😂they also believed this was a godly power so they would go crazy thinking this is what they’re needed to do while on these drugs

Go and look at history? They’d have a dream and kill their wife? To the Christian’s they where savages the religious people had more morals that that…they where under a king too and what ever he says goes so if he has a war the people regardless of their religious thoughts had to go to war, that’s not the religions fault😂where in the bible does it say to do that? I can show you other religions where it does but… they’re known as peaceful even though they had slaves up until the 70s🤷🏼♂️

What was everyone els doing? In comparison to others the Christian’s where the peaceful ones…led by kings who wasn’t so peaceful in some cases but still that’s not the religions fault😂at the time this was the norm for everyone

Yes the same Christian’s who went on a crusade to liberate the holy land from people who waged a war on innocent people… multiple times and those same people are trying to fight that war because it’s in their religion to do so Yes those same people who thought witches where real who didn’t know no better so they burnt them, look at other religions who killed people enslaved them up until recently😂 Christians where the lesser evil in comparison and they’ve always helped to stop evil, that being said they had kings they had goals they used the religion to make the peaceful people do things not so peaceful or they would have been killed

They protected their lands and went and stopped the spread of heathens that where always wanting to attack the Christian’s and take their land, the priests where peaceful they didn’t fight but the people did because they wanted to stop the evil and protect their faith, the people didn’t know no better that’s what life was to them and for everyone on the face of the earth you had to do this or you’d be rolled over So maybe not peaceful but the end goal was peace and to bring peace and to stop the invaders and stop their heathen way of life, because they where kinda killing each and everyone

They where protecting their land and their people, the kings who wanted power wasn’t so peace loving they made the people go and fight for land, that’s not the religions fault… Those who followed the faith like priests and monks never picked up a sword they wanted everyone to be like them but in that world that couldn’t exist everyone was killing each other, then another religion come along and their goal and their religion is to kill for their god So I’d say “the lesser evil”

You don’t even k ow of this is a joke or not these days🤷🏼♂️people identify as eagles or animals…if only we could have wars like this in the modern era to weed out the weak who are fluid or forget science exists to give them a label or meaning in life😂

Yeah I don’t think it was mushrooms they had taken or a concoction of mushrooms and other psychoactive drugs along with mead and wine, you could imagine they where messed up jumping off that boat or they where like people on bath salts in America
