That's not true. You will be treated.

I think it's interesting that the American girl really wanted a tattoo given its a fad. I'd have thought the internet would end those advertising driven fads.

I hugged my father-in-law. He said: Hai Hai Hai and calmly stood still 😂😂😂

@maegalroammis6020 Not to Japanese. Likewise the English. Mediterranean people often see English as, comparably, cold hearted. I know a Bilingual woman who says she even dreams in Spanish when it's something that's emotional to her. That English is a cold language. Comparably.

As an American who has lived in multiple countries, including Japan, I'd suggest most of these Japanese are naïve. Most cities in the USA are extremely dirty, often have issues with safety and are littered with homeless. The binding glue that hold us Americans together is: MONEY. For a Japanese, from a homogeneous culture, they just don't get what they'll give up. They sort of see the green grass without noticing the yard is replete with snakes.

It's the fall in population. Fewer consumers, less consumption, fewer people wanting to invest, less business, less security, less married couples, fewer kids, less consumption, etc....

I think it's the nature of two-face which is common in Japan. But this is the opposite in the West.

@ayuse01 What are you talking about? English uses the word "foreigners". But also Alien (illegal aliens, as an example). Also, Christian may say Pagan. Jewish might call people Goyim. Etc....

I think it's worthwhile mentioning that "friendship" in Japan is very different from friendship in the West. To be a friend in Japan comes with serious responsibility and many Japan would prefer to forgo those commitments. Particularly as it could cause some serious problems and inconvenience. Whereas in the US, for example, most people act friendly - but if push came to shove, they'd probably leave you on the side of the road rather than, say, pay your mortgage for you because you lost your job and will be homeless.

My biggest concern with working in Japan is the system of "pension". It's important that you PAY A LOT into your pension plan AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. If you live at home and pay all your wages into a properly managed pension plan when you're 20 - 22 and retain the investment in your fund then you'll get much more out of those savings at 67 compared with with paying into the same plan for a decade when youre 57 to 67. The growth you make from early investments are seemingly slow and small but in the long run you will see the growth. Plus you can take higher risk. That's something you're often not told when you're young and so you waste this important time and it's not possible to catch up in that sense when you start at say 35 or 40. Furthermore, if you're female you also have to consider you'll begin having difficulties starting a family at an avg age of 33, but this may be as young as 28 and still be within the bulk of the normality curve.

The last person interviewed wasn't originally from the USA. He must have migrated to Portland from somewhere else. He has an accent and he seems to be culturally different from most Americans I know, and I'm American.

This woman just said she didn't want kids because she wanted her lifestyle AND THEN said it was probably due to money that women didn't have kids. The fact is, if a man wanted kids with her, and married her, she'd then change her mind and want kids.

This was an interesting insight: "They just don't care." "And I just felt accepted." While in Sydney I remember an Iranian saying that what he liked most about Australia was no one cares about anyone other than themselves and making money.

China is now in decline. No-one here has a clue.

Covid 19 has nothing at all to do with anything. The issue is two fold: 1) dysgenisis (see Mouse Utopia experiments) 2) dysphoria induced in males being in a safe environment when they evolved instincts for a harsh environment. This makes males respond with a feeling something is wrong and they don't reproduce waiting for this underlying feeling going away.
