  13. Regardless, the point is that they aren't selling out to record labels, they aren't trying to create a "water brand", and "bring performance art to the mainstream". Lady Gaga wanted to be big and wanted everyone to know who she is and love/worship her. I don't think Die Antwoord wants the same do they? That's not true. Many artists have had hit songs and have never gone "mainstream" aka, Marina and the Diamonds, La Roux, Ellie Goulding.

They make it a point that all of this boring bland music is fed to the masses and essentially everyone has the same shitty taste.
