  2. Regardless, the point is that they aren't selling out to record labels, they aren't trying to create a "water brand", and "bring performance art to the mainstream". Lady Gaga wanted to be big and wanted everyone to know who she is and love/worship her. I don't think Die Antwoord wants the same do they? That's not true. Many artists have had hit songs and have never gone "mainstream" aka, Marina and the Diamonds, La Roux, Ellie Goulding.

I'm talking about their actual professionally produced music, not youtube videos. At the end of the day, Die Antwoord is making a point, whether you get it or not is on you.   8. *sigh*. Their point in the video is that they brought up how bland, boring, and monotone all of these U.S. idolized hip hop/pop artists are worshipped. They make it a point that all of this boring bland music is fed to the masses and essentially everyone has the same shitty taste. No one has a heightened sense of music or understanding of anything that has any substance to it. When has Die Antwoord changed their sound? I have most of their songs and it's still true to their style.

  14. They are NOT signed to interscope. They started to partner with Interscope and then dropped them once they wanted to change their direction. So that point is invalid. They stated it in an interview on the daily beast.
