Christian B. Well to be fair, Taiwan seems to be saying the exact same thing as China is. Each claiming the other is a part of it. By that I mean: “PRC/ROC is the real China.” Just my opinion, I can’t speak for the Taiwanese people. And the thing with South Korea/North Korea is that the war already settled that the two countries are split, they are internationally recognised to be two separate entities. China and Taiwan have unfinished business after the second Chinese civil war, Taiwan has never claimed independence and is not officially recognised as “China” (Mainland) neither is it recognised as its own country. Therefore it is not wrong to claim there is only one “China” in the world.

How is Korea related to China?

Christian B. Do you even hear yourself?

Christian B. I seriously dont see that happening. Why would the people revolt when their lives keep getting better each and everyday? And I REALLY cant picture "democracy" bolstering China's monster economy any better than it already is. Please explain to me how democracy can magically allow China to overtake America? Why couldnt democracy do the same to countries like Crotia or Libya?

The thing is, China hasn’t changed its policy on Hong Kong at all besides the proposed extradition bill which has been withdrawn. China has no plans in touching HK at least until 2047. The way I see it is the Hong Kong people are merely fighting amongst themselves. It’s kind of sad really...I really do not understand them.

Pureepat Arttawejkul Huh, interesting, didn’t know the KMT was now Pro-Beijing now, that’s pretty funny when you think about it seeing as how it was the KMT that was fighting the CCP back in Civil War. China cannot recognise Taiwan as an independent country...because Taiwan hasn’t declared independence...and then that would probably lead to a Chinese invasion...all sides don’t want this. For reasons I do not know, China will not give up Taiwan, whether it be unfinished business or personal gains. Taiwan is in no position to bargain so I think it would be best to remain as it is, Taiwan is technically not under the PRC anyways so why bother? Regarding Korea, all I was trying to say that South Korea and North Korea are both legally and internationally recognised separate entities, which is NOT the case with Taiwan and China no matter how you or I feel about it. And could you out on specifically what was I “wrong on many levels” about?

01001011 America WON its independence from the British. ROC merely fled to Taiwan after they lost the Mainland in Second Chinese Civil War which is unfinished to this very day. Again, their identity as “Taiwanese” is unofficial. I don’t have a problem with it, and I sincerely hope neither side continues the war just to make their respective claims official.

Dennis Liu People have been predicting this at least 30 years now. I dont see any sign of a crash happening anytime soon. Sorry.
