@Vict0r1984 It's against "human rights" to provide mandatory education to your own people?

@Vict0r1984 First of all, glad to hear that you're willing to listen to the other side of things from a "wumao" rather than just pass it off as "propaganda". Appreciate that. I'm not from the Mainland, I'm from HK and have never been to Xinjiang province before. And so I can't speak for what the Uighurs in question are experiencing. However, NOBODY is claiming that China's re-education camps are not real. NOBODY is claiming that this is all just a voluntary program. I'd like to make this clear. Those who do claim such things are either ignorant Chinese, or outsiders meaning to stir up conflict. I don't understand. How is mandatory education a violation of human rights? I seriously doubt that they're just snatched away from their families into the night and transformed into mindless machines who know nothing but to work. I am certain there are extreme cases, there always are, but in general I do not think that the government has malevolence in their plan. I suggest you try visiting Xinjiang for yourself and ask the locals there if they feel "violated". Otherwise, what you are claiming is merely an assumption. I do not see any refugees fleeing from Xinjiang nor do I see any kind of rebellion. Try blaming censorship if you want, but I'm again going to point out that Xinjiang province is OPEN for vistors.
