  1. Seeing how many violent riots/rallies SCMP is pumping out (1-3 per day), I’d say even if there were any peaceful protests, the violent ones would still outnumber the peaceful ones. But have you got any proof that peaceful protests are still a thing? By “peaceful” I also mean ones that don’t go against the government’s designated routes. Links to a credible source would do.

  2. Tell me, in what way was the government “cruel” to its own people? The extradition bill has been withdrawn, and police “brutality” is only because the rioters/protestors won’t stop and keep defying the law.
