Have you ever thought that he might’ve just be there to express his views? Do you really think that the old man was there to “silence” the protestors and “fight them”? And yet you dare not condemn or even feel ashamed about the acts of your so called fellow “freedom fighters” when they are doing the EXACT SAME THINGS you have described the old man to have done. How naive of you. Just like the protestors/rioters, the old man has the RIGHT TO PROTEST, he has FREEDOM OF SPEECH. The only difference is that he isn’t actively going around beating up anybody who doesn’t agree with him.

Maybe that these people didn’t actually come all the way from parts of Mainland China from faraway places like Sichuan or Guangdong or whatever. Maybe these people actually lived in Hong Kong BEFORE the protests/riots happened. Ever thought about that? The “people who crossed over from Mainland China” are singing the national anthem because they are protesting against the anti-government protestors, they are saying that Hong Kong is a part of China (which is true) because they are protesting against the anti-government protestors. It’s as simple as that. They’re not here to force anybody to follow them, they’re merely voicing their views and expressing their anger. Or are they not even allowed to show support for their own country?

  8. The only thing the president CAN do, is to do nothing. Think about it, if the government uses force NOW, the world will turn against China claiming that it’s just “Tiananmen 2.0”. Even though I doubt it, seeing as how the world didn’t do much when the original Tiananmen happened, but China can’t take any chances with the trade war going on. If the government does nothing, the protests can’t go on forever, can they? China can wait out 28 years of protesting if it has to.
