  2. Dominic Fong Hey, I'm not saying that China is the utopian nation that you think we think it is. I'm just saying it's not the "evil communist dictatorship" the westerners always portray it to be. Yes, there are a few companies out there that still produce fake products and steal ideas, but not all companies are like that. Personally, I think you guys are just using that as an excuse to bad mouth China. But that's just my view, feel free to try and change my mind.

  10. randy cole Funny, if you're talking about the Wenzhou train collision, it happened in 2011. But, that is an isolated incident, I can assure you train wrecks and faulty construction accidents don't happen on a daily basis here in China.

Dominic Fong Mao wasn't responsible for all the deaths that happened, mostly it was because of famine that happened every year which was the result of KMT rule...Mao prevented it from happening every year, but yeah Mao really messed up during the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward. I know that communism doesn't work, but it's not like it's specifically designed to kill as many people as possible. In my opinion, freedom of speech and freedom of religion isn't really all that important for society, if it works, it works. We don't need to worry about politics, because the government knows what it's doing, and it's doing its job well. If you interviewed a couple of people in China and see what they thought of it, they would say they don't really care as long as they're safe and have all the basic necessities (watch Asian Boss). Maybe freedom of religion is needed but most Chinese are atheists anyway. About the constant monitoring...don't know about that because I live in Hong Kong and that kind of thing doesn't exist here, but I personally wouldn't have a problem with it as long as they don't go too far, it's really personal preference. Can't really say anything about the copying and stealing as I know it's a big problem and I would be pissed off too if I were you, but try not to put the blame on the whole of China as some of these people are just trying to make a living. We are trying very hard to improve.

  17. Uhh. When did China claim they created high speed rail tech? Sure, they may have based their designs on those from other countries but China didn't "steal" them. Besides, Chinese trains are probably far better than those in other countries, so instead of blaming China, why not focus on improving your infrastructure to be better than China instead?
