  2. @Miguel Correa Incorrect, Mao led an uprising against Chiang Kai Shek's Kuomintang. Sun Yat Sen was the father of modern China, Chiang was the guy who completely wasted Sun's efforts. However, Chiang did contribute greatly to China's resistance against Japan during the second Sino-Japanese war. And if it weren't for the KMT, China may have been totally enslaved by Japan. I'd say that is his only redeeming quality.
