On a more serious note. Since when did the world suddenly care so much about the Uighur/Tibetan minority? Also known as the minority whose religion has quite a reputation for..ahem...let’s just put it this way...having an “explosive” set of practices...
And since when has evidence been given that shows China’s camps are “concentration camps” at all? I’ve been hearing the term been thrown around a lot when it comes to the Uighurs and Tibetans, but nobody actually has any solid proof. Strange, don’t you think? You would expect camps with at least...what was it again? Oh yes. A MILLION people in total being detained to have had escaped by now.
China’s claim on so called “international waters” are fairly justified in my opinion. China’s only doing what it has to, to secure itself. China is surrounded by enemies, with America practically on their doorstep with their military bases all over China’s neighbours’ soil (funnily enough, they don’t seem to mind these foreign military bases on their own territory). If America were to have full control of the SCS in a war-time scenario (I will assume America would be the aggressor, because really, when are they not?), China would be SCREWED. Sorry buddy, but in this world it’s survival of the fittest.
Besides, China has claims on only 8 of the islands in the SCS, the same as the Philippines, and a few of them are man-made if I’m not mistaken. Vietnam on the other hand claims FORTY EIGHT. Why not go bug them instead? :(
