Always surprised at how successful he was and what a great legacy he created, particularly surprised when his father was so incompetent and sleazy! Isabella was obviously the strong, clever and connected one!! Isabella's son was also lucky in Phillipa! (Go the Scots!) I'm glad Edward survived though! ๐ค Edward learned a lot of survival in his teenage years, you cannot hold back a Scorpio for long! Hooray, he was smart to use the longbow, increasing his credibility! So sad for Scotland, France were the real enemy - or were they? Who really wins in a war!? Phillip failed to prove his position, no wonder the allies had cause to support a full rebellion! Oh dear, not Scotland again!! Success to success, it's addictive! ๐น David was not very smart! ๐คจ "The Order of the Garter", wonderful idea, really a good behaviour bond! ๐ Another great idea, Windsor, a glorious castle still today! The Plague! ๐ฑ (Covid issues. Clever man, similar to Australia!)! Was another French war really essential, temporary glory, millions of dead youth! Scots were they own worst enemy! ๐ซ Peace! ๐ด Active men often suffer health problems when they slow down and have time to consider! John of Gaunt should have refused to participate in France! Domestic stability was so important, they didn't deserve continued stife! The War of the Roses, how very sad! ๐ช He was a brilliant King to the United Kingdom, such enduring policies and brave innovations! ๐ So unfortunate for the world, that Edward III's children became so prolific that they fought ruthlessly for a "less than ideal" position as the King! So many opportunities to continue Edwards greatness and the country's success lost in jealousy, treachery and petty murder! Hooray for Edward 111! ๐ Extraordinary! ๐

If he was a traitor, therefore so is Harry!! His brother, "the spare" a quiet shy country man, didn't want to be King, he was happy and loved his family! If King Edward had married an appropriate English girl and had children, Harry would never even have been a Prince - and possibly Charles would been allowed to marry Camilla earlier! Harry is far more like his great uncle it appears, ungrateful, useless and disloyal! A playboy, a passion for controlling married women, no loyalty to family, royal duty or to England! ๐ค Traitor!!

Richard was a spoilt Narcissist, with no practical skills to run a Kingdom. The tragedy was first his birth, then his lack of ability to learn and grow, and finally his irrational behaviour towards his dedicated and loyal Uncle, and cruelty to his cousins! ๐คจ The picture shown in this video of supposedly Prince Henry is actually a picture of Prince John of Gaunt, fail! ๐ง Unfortunate late birth to an older and distant father, just an old professional warrior who eventually married to please his parents! The royal heir and all first sons were required to stay home centuries later, but that was probably his fate! Richard 1 was married off by his mother in a warzone to keep the line going for her own benefit, ridiculous when she knew he was homosexual! Such ambitious Parents are frighteningly ruthless, and rarely successful! Anyway, Richard II was a mistake all round, a tragedy waiting to happen - for England and his family! Sad for King Edward III, John of Gaunt, Henry Bolingbroke, etc! ๐ช๐ Luckily the current Henry isn't the Royal heir! ๐ณ

Extraordinary, I certainly side with the Scots, but there is always much more to every man's story than most people consider! Genes, upbringing, financial circumstances, prevailing political environment, loyalties, diplomacy, expectations, advisors, moods, etc! He was a product of his times, who was very successful from an English point of view, and that he also had a stable married life is a further credit to his strength, commitment and intelligence! A great personal legacy! ๐ Very unfortunate he didn't listen to the nobles complaints about the expense, and carried on pursuing the subjication of the Scots! ๐ญ๐
