  1. Definitely one of my heroes, a successful King and family man too! Edward II deserved to perish earlier! The powerful Edward 1 must have been devastated by his heirs nature and weaknesses! 😠 If Edward IIIs only weakness was prolonging the pursuit of French lands and title! 🤨 Edward logically had to get rid of Mortimer! Big power plays were essential to show strength and appease the majority! Unfortunate for so many Scots, no respite! 😪 Really sad, expensive, unnecessary battles - different times, different priorities!? What could he have achieved in England, if war was left behind!? A man of insight and logic!! 🧐
