He was their responsibility, those who knew him should have protected us from him, it's a parents duty of care!

He's a victim are you serious, there are many mentally ill or challenged people around, they don't wilfully harm people!

@mkf628 Why are you attacking me exactly? The only way a parent is not responsible is when they are no longer here! It's a lifetime job! It was there job to help him live a healthy normal life, not outsiders!

@oldbloke204 Yes I do and neighbours with children and nieces! Their mental health is my first priority, children need constant care and direction not denial and exclusion because they are socially odd!

@oldbloke204 I'm a qualified counsellor, I have seen a great deal and have helped many people! No, a parents first responsibility is the children's health, and selecting the right treatments and therapy! All schools have welfare programs and trained professionals visiting! He was capable of planning this and executing his plan, no excuses! Abusing me and mine, is a really sad form of communication! 😏

@oldbloke204 There are options if medical intervention and caring support is applied early, I understand that doctors and parents can be unreliable or uninvolved, it shouldn't be happening! One of my old neighbours lost her children because her moods were not under control, it took years for the real pain and acknowledgment to reach her but it was too late to change their attitude towards her, heartbreaking for all of them! She had no effective and loving parenting herself! Yes!

@oldbloke204 Mental Health issues are more likely to be identified early now, there is still hope!

@melodiechartier5173 So your 40 year old son or nephew should be discarded completely or denied loving help when it's needed?
2
@melodiechartier5173 Does that apply to the elderly too who develop a sudden crippling illness or dementia?
2
I agree, what's next, a woman was once unkind to him!
2
@oldbloke204 Really, most boys have mental issues from puberty it's up to schools and parents to help them, not an acceptable excuse! He was free here to make these adult decisions!
2
Yes nothing like a caring family, and he was homeless, red flag anyone?

@serenitynowyolo Ok, they did seek help and warn people, that's good to hear! I work with children, that area at least is well supported! 👍
