  1. The Rivers were named for the people that discovered them and are known worldwide as that name, end of story! If they choose to "refer" to them differently that's ok, but if they want OUR Australian rivers (or anything else) renamed on world maps forever, then they will personally have to pay the entire cost of changing all the maps and all consultation and administration charges by themselves! It's not their country, or map, it's OURS! 😠

  2. If it ain't broke don't fix it, my first thought was "who is profiting from this and how"? We have to go through a lengthy process to change our name, was there community consultation and discussion?
