As a 6th generation Australian, I find these ceremonies insulting, embarassing and most offensively they are totally unprofessional and tedious! Stop them completely, they are not at all authentic and obviously purely to get easy payouts from weak woke walkovers! 🇦🇺😵

Yes, my great great grandfather built or helped build half of Tasmania into fertile farmland, small business and successful exports! He came alone in chains and had little peace, food or shelter, yet he made a huge postive impact here to last for generations! Welcome to Australia where we work hard for a living, have empathy for our fellow man and are happy to be known as an honest Australian mate! 👍

@sniiiper3d645 As "custodians", not "owners" and also as immigrant visitors to the lands of Australia you should respect our right to the freedom to decide whether or not this ceremony is appropriate to our lives and our cultures! It is not authentic, entertaining, enlightening or appropriate in Australia - it is just embarassing, intrusive, tedious, and divisive! (If you are an "original generation" them you must be in the world records for longevity! My great great great grandmother was "an original generation", as in originally from Africa and a direct descendant of the world's "first" tribes!!)

@dustinmaloney9530 Your aggressive and abusive attitude is divisive and inappropriate! The first fleet of around 1k, included only weapons for the soldier escort and convict guards, these convicts were starving and chained, and children, women, babies - who did they "wipe out" exactly? Terra Australis was discovered by Holland, who were far more invasive than the British who only claimed a tiny cove! It's only 40,000 years since you arrived from New Guinea and Indonesia! The "lies" appear to be all one sided! Stop talking, you are not helping your cause, whatever it is!

@sniiiper3d645 Respect for your culture is automatically provided in many other ways! The "meaning" does not apply to the rest of Australia, this is a modern community of over 270 separate cultures, and we have visitors from many others, this fake ceremony intrudes on our rights and the sacrifices of our families to be here and build family lives again from nothing! Yes, "ALL" Australians are immigrants, fact!!
