  2. Many women/girls died in childbed, there no medical intervention during births, very little outside assistance available, and usually unsanitary conditions! 🤨 Women were easily replaceable, children essential! 🤔

  4.  @amyrat151  Yes, farmers wives worked until the last moments, there was little knowledge of hygiene, usually no pain relief, breech births were rarely righted inutero, and any surgical intervention or a doctor's presence were rare! Twins were considered the work of the devil and deformations were evil signs! A priest would pray for the souls while the mother bled to death! Frequently the child was saved before the mother, women were very easily replaceable! 😡

  6. Monasteries frequently made ales, and flower/fruit spirits too from their own gardens! A very productive and very rich landowner!
