  2. Pride!!! The father said so many times that he is ALONE, he was too proud to take any money and he believed he would die ALONE, "I dream of you all the time"!! I'm sure that just a little more pressure and warmth could have persuaded him to move back to Russia, near family! There were so many verbal and physical clues about how much he needed family comfort that were left unacknowledged, its so sad that genuine empathy and warmth were totally lacking from the son, he only had to reach for his father's hand!! I will never get over the pain and guilt of seeing my parents in nursing homes, everything should be done to help this father find some peace and joy in his last days - not just yearly enquiries!! 😠 Cold, cold, cold!
