  3. Completely unrelated. That just reminds me of the time I was in the army and after months of cleaning our rifles in basic training we were about to be sent into action and they took our rifles and sprayed them with green and brown paint. The 80s.

  6.  @schrodingersgat4344  ja. Bloody good piece of kit. I once shot 12000 rounds of ammo in the morning. We were on officers course and doing fire and movement training. We were using the bren gun with 7.62 and 2 barrel. The reason for the 12k was to save time cleaning the bren and getting a little extra sleep. So i got all the magazines and went out on the flank and acted like a bren. We were using live ball ammo. The rifle got so hot that you couldn't pick it up. It never broke or jammed and I used it for the last 13 months of active duty.

  7.  @schrodingersgat4344  in the 70s we used to play with my mates older brothers R1. He was a reservist like the Swiss and it was under his bed and the maid never even stole it. Amazing that. Not many people know that we used to have a lock on the fridge and phone because the servant stole everything. Sugar also had to be locked away. My mom stopped having a servant in 74 and we kids had to earn our pocket money.
